Living Keys Founder Presents BBC Volunteer Award

Living Keys Founder Linda Huskisson attended the BBC Radio Cambridgeshire Make a Difference Awards 2025 on Friday night, returning to the stage where she was honoured just a year ago — this time as a judge and award presenter.

The awards ceremony, held at Cambridge Junction on 19th September, celebrated eight exceptional community heroes who have made a real difference across Cambridgeshire.

Linda was invited to join the judging panel for this year’s Volunteer Award, the very same category she won in 2024 for her outstanding contribution to supporting survivors of domestic abuse through her charity, Living Keys.

On the night, Linda had the privilege of presenting the Volunteer Award to Caroline Deeprose, co-founder and chief executive of The Angels Foundation in St Neots. The organisation provides vital support to women and their children fleeing abusive situations, a cause close to Linda’s heart.

“It was a real honour to return this year as a judge and to present the Volunteer Award to someone doing such incredible work,” says Linda. “Caroline’s dedication and compassion truly embody the spirit of community and resilience that these awards are all about.”

The BBC Radio Cambridgeshire Make a Difference Awards shine a light on individuals who go the extra mile in their local communities, offering a heartfelt “thank you” to some of the county’s most selfless and inspiring people.

Linda’s continued involvement reflects Living Keys’ growing recognition and commitment to empowering survivors and raising awareness about domestic abuse across Cambridgeshire and beyond.
