Swap shop event

October 5th 2023

Due to the cost of living crisis, we set up an event called the “Swap Shop”, where we invited women to bring any clothing they no longer wear -in good condition- and swap them over for clothing that they might like from others who have brought in clothes.

Invitations and posters were handed out, put up, and advertised on social media. We had lots of womens’ clothing and some childrens’ clothing as well, including a couple of school uniforms that was so desperately needed by another person.

Cherry Blossom Care Home raised £439.00 for Living Keys

September 2023

We are excited to announce that the Cherry Blossom Care Home has raised an event to raise funds for the work of Living Keys.

Residents and families enjoyed a wonderful buffet and a great day, where a group female singers came and sang all the old time songs, like “We’ll meet again, don’t know where don’t know when”, “my ole man’s a dustman”, and much more.

Linda went along to the event and had a wonderful time singing and dancing to the songs. A raffle was also raised, and £439.00 given over to Linda, Living Keys Founder, who thanked all the residents and families for their support with raising funds for the work of our charity.

We would like to thank Cherry Blossom for all their hard work for this event, specially Maria and the rest of the wonderful staff, who really made our day!

Dare to rise event

May and July 2022

Living Keys completed a sponsored walk from Peterborough to Spalding which was 16 miles. In fancy dress and a great time was had by all, although very tired and sore feet by the end of it.

Picture on the left show us just starting out, and on the right, having a rest before continuing to our destination. We were able to speak to people along the way bringing info of the work of Living Keys and receiving donations in the process.

It was a great day, bringing awareness of domestic abuse to others, and advising what to do if they knew of a situation where someone is going through abuse and if they are going through abuse themselves.
