Summer Swap Shop Raises Vital Funds For Living Keys

On 1 May, Living Keys hosted a wonderful Swap Shop event that brought women from the community together for an afternoon filled with friendship, laughter and generosity — all while raising vital funds for the important work our charity does to support women in the community.

The event invited women to bring along items they no longer wanted and swap them for as many items as they wished. There was a fantastic selection available, including ladies’ summer clothing, children’s summer clothing, toys, books and much more. The Swap Shop gave everyone the opportunity to refresh their wardrobes, find treasures for their families and enjoy the spirit of sharing and community.

More importantly, the afternoon created a warm and welcoming space where women could connect, support one another and enjoy a real sense of sisterhood. Guests also enjoyed a delicious buffet while spending time together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Thanks to the generosity and support of everyone who attended, we were delighted to raise £145 for Living Keys. Every penny raised will help us continue our vital work supporting women affected by domestic abuse and providing care, encouragement and practical support within the community.

Founder Linda Huskisson said: “A very special thank you goes to our amazing volunteers, whose hard work, dedication and support made the event such a great success. We are so grateful for the time and effort that went into organising such a memorable afternoon.

“Events like these remind us how powerful community can be when women come together to support one another. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated and helped make the Swap Shop such a joyful and successful event.”
